Laut Weltbank (FR v. 7.9.06) schickten MigrantInnen 2005 ca. 232 Mrd $ nach Hause, davon gingen 167 Mrd $ in Entwicklungsländer. Die weltweite Entwicklungshilfe betrug in diesem Jahr 106,5 Mrd $.
